Advanced Logger Rescue

Advanced Logger Rescue training presented by Dana B. Hinkley and Logger Rescue, LLC. Advanced Logger Rescue is a nationally recognized and awarded safety training program. Logger Rescue offers training in all aspects of Logger Education. The course was founded in Berlin, N.J., in 1987 to meet the needs of the forest products industry and for those companies that have to comply with the OSHA standards.

Advanced Logger Rescue is a program that teaches all participants  how to handle an "in woods" rescue from the time a person is injured until they are at a level 1 Trauma Center.

This course will better prepare you and your crew in how to activate the EMS system and affect the rescue.

AHUG is proud to bring you the Logger Rescue course. This course is geared to prepare EMT and Fire personnel, foresters, and loggers in taking action to reduce severity of injury and increase the loggers's chance of survival after a logging accident. 

This course is approved for 8 hours (2 years) of PA SFI Continuing Education Credit--contact SFI of PA; Continuing Education Credit for Fire and EMS is available.

Instructor: Dana Hinkley is a retired captain (specializing in heavy rescue) from the Berlin, N.J. Fire Dept. He has also spent the last 35 years working in the logging business with his father. Dana has developed the Logger Rescue courses and has trained hundreds of loggers, foresters and EMS personnel throughout the United States and Canada. His efforts have earned him several awards:
