Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. A ring around the moon means rain will come soon. Have you ever wondered if some of the old folklore sayings are actually true? A visit to the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center will give you  - the answer!

An interactive science center all about the weather, the Weather Discovery Center’s “Weather Lore Landscape” gives visitors a peak into the fact or fiction of weather folklore. You can also explore “Punxsutawney Phil’s Burrow” to learn all about groundhogs and the world-famous, Punxsutawney Phil. Then, continue the fun and learning at the “Twist-n-Shout” exhibit, where visitors “become” a tornado! Try your hand at being an on-camera meteorologist at our “AccuWeather Forecasting Station. “Make” a thunderstorm in the “Perfect Storm.” Catch a weather video in our theater, and much more! Regular admission is $6 per person with children 2 and under free.

The Weather Discovery Center also offers a regular schedule of programming. Coming up on June 23, get ready for Sloppy Science Day. And in July, it’s Summer Weather Camp with programming Tuesday and Thursday beginning on July 10 and a different weather topic each week. Full details at Weatherdiscovery.org.
