DESCRIPTION:Recently Jefferson County was awarded 3\,921\,662 from the Covid-19 County Relief Block Grant Program. The Jefferson County Commissioners have agreed to use a portion of the CARES funding for grants to qualifying Small Businesses with 100 employees or less and Non-Profit Organizations (501) c3 or (501) c19. Applications for qualifying Covid-19 related expenses incurred will open August 12\, 2020. The deadline for applying is August 28\, 2020. The application can be found on the Jefferson County website. Please return the application by email with supporting documentation to CARES@jeffersoncountypa.com. The Jefferson County commissioners believe this money is intended to stimulate the economy by aiding the County small businesses and non-profits that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
