DESCRIPTION:Jefferson County is announcing the opening of the Small Business Economic Recovery Assistance Grant Program. This program is funded through the Community Development Block Grant CARES (CDBG-CV) Program and all CDBG regulations apply to this program. Funding through this program must be utilized for Low/Moderate Income (LMI) job creation and or retention. Amount of Assistance: At this time\, the maximum grant amount is $5\,000 and we anticipate providing assistance to approximately 27 small businesses. Assistance will be on a "first come\, first served" basis with businesses that have not received any economic recovery assistance as a result of the coronavirus pandemic being prioritized. Application forms will be available on the Jefferson County website www.jeffersoncountypa.com.
