However\, the fun doesn't stop there! In addition to the science experiments\, we will learn the sign language signs that are related to the science project and other people and things found in your home. What could be better than science and signs? \n\n\n\nDate: July 27 - 31 (Monday - Friday)\n\nTime: 9:00 am 10:00 am\n\n\n\nSpanish in the Kitchen (Grades 2-4) \n\nIn this basic cooking class\, we will communicate in the Spanish language while introducing healthy habits\, Latin culture\, and fun. Each day has a different recipe to engage students in learning new things in the kitchen and in Spanish. The class will be taught by a native speaker using targeting vocabulary specific to the recipes each day while introducing ingredients and other items in the kitchen. \n\n\n\nDate: July 27 - 31 (Monday - Friday)\n\nTime: 11:00 am 12:00 pm\n\n\n\nIn light of the ongoing threat from the coronavirus\, Penn State DuBois has made the decision to cancel face-to-face summer youth classes (Kids in College and Youth Academies). However\, in-order to give youth an opportunity to still have fun while learning in the summer\, we are offering a selection of virtual classes (held through Zoom) during the weeks of July 20 and July 27.\n\n\n\nThese virtual classes are instructed by local teachers and other professionals from the DuBois area and are approved by Penn State to teach these classes virtually. \n\n\n\nImportant notes:\n\nA parent or guardian must be in the room with the child (does not need to be on camera) during any class if his/her child is 12 and under. \n\nChildren must honor the Virtual Code of Conduct at all times or risk being asked to leave the program.\n\nThe list of supplies needed for each day's activity will be emailed to the parent/guardian's email address approximately one week before the class begins. Be prepared with these items before each class starts.\n\nThe grade listed for each class is the grade the child will be in for fall 2020.
