Explore Cook Forest State Park with a morning hike!
Oak, maple, cherry, beech, and cucumber trees often surpass 250 years old here, but where are all the ancient conifers? Help us remeasure the Maple Drive Pine, one of the tall 160ft class pines found in Cook Forest!
The group will start at the Park Office to drive and then hike into the seldom visited old growth forests off Maple Drive. Ancient hardwoods are abound on this trail in a less traveled part of the park.
