    Family Service Worker

    This position will be responsible for doing the required duties of a Family Service Worker in the
    Centre County area.

    40 hours a week, for 40 weeks a year

    General Description of Duties
    Family Service Workers assist families in their home with goal planning and to complete program
    required paperwork. The FSW provides monthly contacts to families via home visits, phone calls, and
    emails. They also assist families in identifying family needs and resources and setting and working
    on goals.

    - Candidates must have high school diploma or GED equivalency,
    - Must be willing to complete FSW credentialing within 18 months of hire

    Must obtain the following Clearances:
    - PA Criminal Record (State Police)- https://epatch.state.pa.us
    - Child Abuse History Check- www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis
    - FBI Clearance- PA Department of Human Services - https://uenroll.identogo.com
    -  Mandated Reporting Certificate-free-www.reportabusepa.pitt.edu.

    Physical Abilities:
    - Lift and carry objects over fifty (50) pounds.
    - Reach overhead.
    - Bend to reach objects from the floor.
    - Stand for extended periods of time with reasonable breaks.
    - Sit for extended periods of time with reasonable breaks.
    - Sit at child size tables.
    - Physically restrain a child as needed following guidelines.
    - Sit on the floor for over thirty minutes.
    - Use sweeper and other cleaning apparatus (push and pull).
    - Participate in gross motor activities.
    - Vision and hearing within normal limits.
