    Full-Time Salaried Position
     
    The Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) program is
    a supportive service to individuals and their families receiving mental health and/or
    substance use recovery supports and services. CPSs work from the perspective of their
    lived experience to help build environments conducive to recovery. They promote hope,
    personal responsibility, empowerment, education, and self-determination in the
    communities where they serve. CPSs are trained to assist others in skill-building,
    problem-solving, setting up and maintaining self-help mutual support groups, and building
    self-directed recovery tools. A critical role of the CPS is willingness to self-identify their
    lived experience, using it as a tool for helping others in developing recovery goals and
    specific steps to reach those goals.
    The CPS Program Director is responsible for the day to day operations and management
    of the CPS program and staff in the program. CenClear is looking for a full-time, hard-working individual to direct the CPS program which is provided in several counties in
    Central PA. The home office for this position is in Clearfield PA.
     
    Qualifications:
    · Master's degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, activity therapies, counseling, or related field.
    · Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, activity therapies, counseling, or related field above with 2 years' experience providing direct service mental health experience
    · Willing to complete the Department approved CPS supervisory training within 6 months of accepting the position
    · Supervisory and Leadership skills
    · Able establish trusting relationships with others
    · Able to work independently and as a member of a team
    · Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
    · Possess computer skills
    Access to transportation
    · Act 33 and Act 34 clearances

    Physical Abilities
    · Ability to reach overhead.
