    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   

    • High school diploma or equivalent? 
    • Proven experience with Camtasia software (or similar video editing tools like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, with willingness to adapt to Camtasia) 
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills 
    • Ability to work independently in a part-time, flexible schedule 

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

    • At least 1-2 years of experience in video editing, preferably in an educational or instructional context 
    • Strong understanding of video production principles, including pacing, visual storytelling, and multimedia integration 
    • Proficiency in basic audio editing and graphic elements 
    • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and tools 
    • Experience editing content for academic or training purposes, such as online courses or webinars 
    • Knowledge of accessibility best practices in digital media (e.g., WCAG guidelines) 
    • Basic graphic design skills using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite 
    • Strong communication skills for collaborating with non-technical team members 
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
    • Excellent critical thinking skills 

    POSITION SUMMARY:   

    This position supports the development of online and hybrid academic course video materials using editing software to produce instructional videos. This position is responsible for transforming raw video elements into course video materials that are engaging, professional, and aligned with educational standards. Detail-oriented and timely video editing production is the key responsibility of this position. This is a temporary position focused on specific course development projects, with potential for extension based on College needs

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

    • Edit raw video footage using Camtasia to create polished instructional content for academic courses, including lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and supplementary materials. 
    • Collaborate with instructional designers to understand course objectives and ensure edited videos meet course needs 
    • Review and revise videos for quality, clarity, and consistency, adhering to NPRC's branding guidelines and accessibility standards 
    • Manage file organization, version control, and export videos in various formats suitable for D2L 
    • Perform basic audio editing to ensure clear narration and remove background noise 
    • Meet project deadlines and provide progress updates to the academic team 
    • Assist with accessibility needs in keeping with the Americans with Disabilities Act
