The Greater DuBois Area has the relaxed lifestyle of a small town that appeals to visitors and residents alike. We have the relaxed lifestyle of rural living, plus award winning health care and education. Conveniently located in Northwest Pennsylvania on Interstate 80, it is less than a day's drive from major cities in the Midwest, East Coast, and Canada.  That makes DuBois a convenient stop for travelers, and a perfect location for our businesses to ship their products to market.

  • Who We Are - Leadership development through community involvement has been the basis of the Jaycees since its inception in 1920. Beginning as a man-only national organization, the Jaycees soon opened its doors to women in the 1980's and has since been a solid mixture of both men and women professionals. The goal of the not-for-profit organization is to provide members a means to reach their full potential through networking and personal growth opportunities and is ideal for proactive young people ages 21 to 40.

Our History - The DuBois Chapter was founded in 1956 by 18 local individuals, whose dedication and passion to make our community a better place has resonated for generations and continues to do so in the spirit of our current members. Throughout the years, the Jaycees have assisted and held a variety of fundraisers as a way to give back to their community and its citizens.

One of the biggest and most well-known initiatives that former DuBois members took on was building and maintaining the Jaycees Pool (now known as the City Pool). This contribution from our former Jaycees has been a huge asset to our community and continues to be a popular spot for kids and families throughout the summer. It has since been given to the DuBois City to maintain and keep up to date with safety upgrades and the latest state-of-the-art features.

What We Do for our Community- Some of the impactful activities the DuBois Area Jaycees organize are providing Thanksgiving dinners for families in need, holiday shopping for local students, giving out scholarships for High School Seniors, holding a free Easter Egg hunt for the DuBois community and the annual Distinguished Citizen Award.

If you'd like to learn more about the DuBois Area Jaycees and get involved in their community projects, you can contact the chapter by email to Duboisjaycees56@gmail.com, check out their website: https://duboisareajaycees.com, or by attending a monthly meeting. Meetings are held the third Tuesday in the months of March through November at 7pm at the Fairfield Inn and Suites.

Our Biggest Event is Coming up Soon - Jaycees Lottery!
