Responsibilities Overview
The Marketing and Communications Manager leads the Chamber’s overall marketing strategy, ensuring all campaigns and outreach efforts align with its mission while anticipating member and community needs. This role manages social media, newsletters, podcasts, and press releases to deliver professional and creative communications, while also fostering strong relationships with members and partners through education, and promotion. In addition, the position oversees membership, sponsorships, and events, maintaining accurate records and organized systems to support smooth daily operations and lasting community impact.
Qualifications- Confident leader with strong interpersonal skills
- Background in marketing, communications, or related fields (degree or equivalent experience)
- Skilled in social media strategy and digital tools (Canva, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and more)
- Excellent writing, design, and communication abilities
- Highly organized event coordination and administrative experience (training available)
- Passion for promoting local businesses and supporting community growth
The Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven business organization dedicated to promoting and supporting local businesses while fostering economic growth, community development, and local tourism. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday during daytime office hours, with occasional evening and weekend events. Salary is commensurate with experience, with a retirement plan available after one year of employment. We offer paid holidays and accrued vacation time. For the right candidate, opportunities for advancement are available, including the potential for a succession plan.
